At the end of the medical first aid course the cadet should be able to demonstrate,understand basic First Aid requirements as MATE on board ship.During the course he learns about Anatomy,First for Burns,Fracture, dislocations and muscular injuries,Heat Stress,Heat Strokes,Cold Burns,Toxicological Hazards aboard on a ship,Drowning, Asphyxia,Pharmacology and seeking RADIO Medical Advice
Hold a certificate in elementary first aid (EFA), or a demonstrably equivalent qualification, and possess a minimum of 6 months' seafaring experience.
