For Motor/Steam :
-36Months as Engineer officer on watch which shall include 12Months as holder of COC as MEO Class II and
-36Months shall be reduced to 24Months, if 12Months served as 2nd Engineer officer for Steam/Motor
-The Propelling time must be at least two thirds of the corresponding sea service period.
For Combine (Motor and Steam) :
-40Months (20 Months Motor + 20Months steam) which shall include not less than 12 months as holder of COC as MEO Class II combined (Steam and Motor) and
-40Months shall be reduced to 36Months (18Months motor + 18months Steam), if 12 months served as 2nd Engineer officer for Steam/Motor
The Propelling time must be at least two thirds of the corresponding sea service period
